Question for the Coach:
I have a 5 yr old Martin "Jaguar" compound with all the original equipment and was wondering when would be a good time to replace the string. It's current string looks to be in fairly good condition and I haven't had any problems yet.
Coach's Answer:
The new plastic fiber strings tend to hold together very well if the cam setup does not bother them. If you are not having problems, just have a backup for when you might.
When these string begin to fail, it shows as a change in draw length and cam rotation. If none of these changes have shown up yet, and your string doesn't show any visible fraying or breaks, you can get some more arrows on it. :>
