- Question for the Coach:
- In using a release aid in shooting a compound bow, is it necessary to keep the palm
outward even if the release is a thumb-trigger release and not a back tension release? I noticed that by facing the palm outward or away from the face, there is a degree of twisting of the loop. Does this not affect the release of the bowstring

- Coach's Answer:
- The loop twist is a small issue compared to finding a natural, consistent position at anchor. If you think the twist might be a problem, you can use a longer rope. Finding the position that feels best for you though is the most important.
